We have an exciting opportunity for a team leader based at HMP Castle Huntly who will support the operations manager by performing appropriate day to day management duties, including line management of staff and the delivery of the learning and skills contract within the context of a prison environment.
You will be responsible for the effective and equitable implementation of timetabling to suit the needs of all learners and will ensure accurate reporting of monthly information statistics (MIS) and other contractual data required. In addition, the post holder will be required to deliver learning and assess a range of SQA qualifications in accordance with quality frameworks.
You must be educated to a minimum of HND level (SCQF Level 8) in relevant area. In addition you must hold SQA units aligned to the National Occupational Standards for assessment, planning and internal verification, or be willing to work towards these SQA units.
Previous teaching or training experience and knowledge of a range of awarding bodies such as REHIS and RoSPA, along with experience in project based learning is preferable. Appropriate knowledge of existing, emerging and assistive technologies to support and enhance the learner journey is essential.
