About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Project Controller to join our Enterprise & Partnerships team. This is a brand new position, where you will play a vital role in managing and supporting projects that develop new educational capabilities, including curriculum development and learning infrastructure.
Working closely with the Head of Projects, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Your organisational expertise will support various project activities, from planning and scheduling to implementing document management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Support project planning, scheduling, and monitoring, including risk, change, and issue management.
- Liaison & Communication: Act as a key liaison between different college departments, ensuring timely completion of tasks and clear communication.
- Budget Monitoring: Track project budgets, ensuring accurate records of planned and actual expenditures.
- Document Management: Establish and maintain project templates to standardise planning, reporting, and documentation.
- Systems & Tools: Support the implementation of project management systems to promote consistency and efficiency.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports, tracking project KPIs, and summarising progress.
- Meetings & Procurement: Organise project meetings and manage procurement processes, including supplier documentation.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Educated to HND in a relevant subject (SCQF Level 8)
- Experience of working as a project controller or assistant project manager on mid-sized projects.
- Experience of effectively co-ordinating projects, including monitoring and reporting requirements
- Experience of using data to evaluate performance
- Experienced user of MS Office, especially MS Excel
Desirable:
- Creating KPI dashboards
- Working in Further or Higher Education.
- Using MS Project and PowerBI.
