Working in conjunction with the Lead Adviser - Wellbeing & Support, you will provide a professional, accessible welfare service to all Fife College students.
You will be expected to support and advise students throughout their journey, from pre entry through to progression to positive destination, ensuring that you keep in contact using a variety of methods including face to face, calls, emails, and social media.
You will also be responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of the services offered to students through ongoing monitoring, evaluation and reflection; adapting to meet the changing needs of our students.
Educated to HND or equivalent qualification in a Guidance or Counselling related subject, you should have proven experience of guidance or counselling work preferably within an education setting. Knowledge of child protection/student issues are essential along with an understanding of barriers to learning and how these maybe overcome.
Excellent written, listening and speaking skills are essential.
